UCI Pikes finish 1st in IFC Bowling Tournament

In what can be called the most anticipated match of the 2007-2008 season, Pike defeats Kappa Sigma in the 3rd game of a double-elimination bowling tournament, thereby finishing the school-year and season with the most sports points of any IFC Fraternity.

Kappa Sigma, having lost to Pike once in the Semi-Finals, returned to Lane 1 at Irvine Lanes to face the henceforth undefeated Pike Bowling Team. Having to win two matches to claim victory, Pike & Kappa Sigma tied their first game. Kappa Sigma came back with a victory in the second match, needing a 2nd victory to win, the last game was watched with anticipation and excitement.

Once the last pin hit the hardwood, it was clear the winner would not be easily determined, with individual match-ups resulting in a tie, the winner would be determined by total point count of both teams. The silence was deafening as the points were being tallied up, but the silence would soon be broken...

Congratulations to the Pike Bowling Team for coming away with 1st place in the IFC Bowling tournament, and thereby resulting in a first place winner in overall IFC Athletics!
