True Pike Challenge
The True Pike Challenge is an outdoor leadership experience that takes undergraduates through a seven-day field course encounter that pushes participants to the limit and beyond. The program is run at the Boulder Outdoor Survival School (BOSS), the oldest and largest survival school in the world.
Each Pike hikes the terrain of southern Utah with other select members of the Fraternity and staff to further strengthen the bonds of Brotherhood and phi phi kappa alpha. The Challenge focuses on individual development as outlined in the True Pike commitment. Some of the skills participants learn include map and compass, hiking, shelter construction, friction fires and desert navigation.
